ARTIFACT FROM THE FUTURE:
The Making of THX 1138
George Lucas’ experience making this, his first feature film, would shape the rest of his career, and with it, American cinema. This 30-minute documentary follows Lucas and his collaborators, Francis Coppola and Walter Murch, as they venture into the whirlpool of the studio system, only to emerge bruised and battered - and more determined than ever to forge their own cinematic independence.
